NEW PILOT PROPOSALS!

The Xenia Chamber Music Course, sees two new “pilot proposals” to be held throughout 2018-2019 in Turin, Italy:

1) Advanced course for String Quartet

A specialized course consisting of 8 meetings with Professor Adrian Pinzaru, violinist and expert in string quartet playing and coaching. Each meeting comprises master classes and a lecture given by an international guest artist and/or musicologist who will address a specific topic of interest for the students. The course runs from November 2018 to June 2019 and sees two selected quartets taking part.

At the end of the course the two quartets will perform in a special concert to be held in a prestigious hall in Turin

2) Chamber Music course for young  students

A chamber music course for string players with at least two year’s experience and aged 10 and upwards ! The course is designed as an introduction to ensemble music for strings, to encourage dialogue and collaboration through music.

The course takes place two Saturday afternoons each month, starting on January 12thuntil end of May when the final end of course concert will take place.

The course is held by Prof. Eilis Cranitch, violinist and expert on chamber music for young string players.
