The Xenia Next Generation comes to Florence with a concert dedicated to the new generation of chamber musicians. The performers are young artists and students of the Xenia Chamber Music Course, selected for their talent and for the training path developed within the Xenia project.

The evening will open with a short introductory conversation with Daniel Llewellyn Roberts and Igor Polesitsky, offering the audience insights into the repertoire and the work of chamber music.

The programme brings together two masterpieces of Classical and Romantic chamber music: Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in C major, Op. 20 No. 2, one of the cornerstones of the quartet repertoire, and Johannes Brahms’s String Quintet in G major, Op. 111, a work of great expressive depth and compositional maturity.
