24th XENIA CHAMBER MUSIC COURSE

“An international project aimed at teaching and disseminating chamber music as a tool for intercultural and intergenerational dialogue.”

For whom is this course intended: young string players, with at least four years training from the age of 10-24 ; and pre-formed groups (such as string quartet) for whom a special programme can be devised at request.

DURATION: the course starts on July 25th and ends on August 1st 2021. The lessons will take place from lunch on the 25th of July to the final concert on the evening of July 31st. The fee includes accommodation and food from the dinner and the night of the 25th of July to the breakfast on the 1st of August.

FEES: the course fee of 700,00€ + 50,00€ (Membership Fee) includes all tuition as well as full board and lodgings, use of the library and didactic material, insurance and transport to and from the concert venues. Find all details about payment methods and Covid emergency on Application page.

CONCERTS: teachers, special guests and students also take part in the concert series “Encounters with Chamber Music”. Every year special locations are chosen.

TRAINING PROGRAM:

lessons: everyday each pupil receives 6 hours of coaching; quartet sessions or other chamber formations (75 min each) plus individual practice.

complementary training activities: lessons dedicated to posture and movement are also included in the program.

other activities: the students are invited to take  part in daily sporting activities in the open air.  And also… evening traditional music sessions, a chance to practice your language skills in english/french/german/italian… and an enriching exchange of knowledge and culture that makes this Course a unique human and artistic experience.
